What size chandelier for your bedroom?

Bedrooms are usually smaller than living rooms, so size matters even more. Add the length and width of the room in feet and use the total as the chandelier diameter in inches: a 12 × 12 ft bedroom adds up to 24, so a chandelier of about 24 in (60 cm) fits well.

Our branch models come in six round sizes, including the compact Ø40 and Ø50 cm sizes that suit smaller bedrooms. Where and how high to hang it

Hang the chandelier in the center of the room, or centered over the bed for a hotel-style look. Where people walk underneath, keep the bottom of the chandelier at least 7 ft above the floor. With a standard 8 ft ceiling, choose a smaller, flatter design. Every chandelier comes with a 1.5 m (59 in) chain that you can shorten on site to the exact height.

In a large master suite, you can also add a second, smaller chandelier above a dressing table or reading corner, so the main fixture does not have to light the whole room on its own.

Soft, warm light for a bedroom

Warm white bulbs of 2700–3000K give the calm, relaxing light most people want in a bedroom. If you like to change the mood, a three-color option is available: warm 3000K, neutral 4500K and cool 6000K. We do not supply a dimmer.

Our bedroom chandelier lights use standard screw-in bulbs — E14 on 220–240V models, E12 on the 120V US version — up to 85W per socket. Bulbs are not included, so LED bulbs are easy to fit. For custom projects we can also build in integrated LED.

Gold, chrome or black — and modern styles

Gold is a natural choice for a bedroom chandelier. Our branch frames are aluminum with an anodized gold finish, our botanical designs are die-cast aluminum with an electroplated gold finish, and you will find many gold designs in this collection and in our gold chandelier range. A bedroom gold chandelier pairs well with warm wood, cream fabrics and brass hardware. Prefer something cooler or bolder? We also make chrome and black models.

Delivery and warranty

Single pieces: in-stock models are ready in about one week and ship door-to-door by express. Shipping and import duties are paid by the buyer and confirmed in your written quotation.
Custom sizes: made to order in about 35 days.
Warranty: 2 years on all parts (normal color change of the finish over time is not covered). Spare-part requests are answered within 48 hours.

Bedroom chandelier FAQ

What size chandelier should I choose for a bedroom?

Add the length and width of the room in feet and use the total as the diameter in inches. A 12 × 12 ft bedroom needs about 24 in, so our Ø60 cm size fits well; small guest rooms suit Ø40–50 cm. Send us your room size and we will recommend a model.

Can I hang a chandelier in a bedroom with an 8 ft ceiling?

Yes. Choose a smaller, flatter design and keep at least 7 ft of clearance where people walk. Our single-tier branch chandeliers are about 40–50 cm (16–20 in) tall with the crystals, so with an 8 ft ceiling, hang it over the bed rather than a walkway. Every chandelier comes with a 1.5 m (59 in) chain that you can shorten to the right height.

What light color is best for a bedroom?

Warm white, 2700–3000K. Bulbs are not included, so you can fit warm LED bulbs of up to 85W per socket. A three-color option — 3000K, 4500K and 6000K — is also available. We do not supply a dimmer.

Do you make gold bedroom chandeliers?

Yes, many of our bedroom designs come with a gold frame. On our branch designs the gold is an anodized finish on aluminum; on our botanical designs (7002 and 7004) it is electroplated onto die-cast aluminum. Neither is painted. We also make chrome and black models.

How heavy is a bedroom chandelier? Will my ceiling hold it?

Weight depends on the size and the crystals, so every chandelier is weighed before shipping and the weight is shown on your quotation and packing list. Your electrician can check the ceiling fixing against it before installation.
